In the event of implementing the new and unique menu item, “tauns”, we were asked to create a promotional video to gather some customer attention. In synchronization with our film class, Jenny Sun and I collaborated to film, edit and add audio to this piece. The motive was to grab the attention of consumers with enticing visuals and define what exactly a taun is. For credibility, we included one of the owner’s of Blend Bubble Tea (Yoseb Vardeh) to be intercut within the shots of the foods.
We planned each shot and scripted out the questions we were going to ask. To the right you can see some of our documents that we formed during the process.

A teaser video for Blend Bubble Tea’s 3rd Annual Easter Blend Hunt. This is an all ages event held within the tri-cities of Port Moody, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam. Similar to an egg hunt, they hide their signature mason jars sold at the store with prizes inside. Anyone who finds one of the 100 jars hidden around will be able to redeem a the coupon that is found inside. This is a quick teaser for their event with another full-length promotional video below. The full-length Easter Blend Hunt promo came out great. We wanted to make it something fun for all ages that were potentially coming to participate. The video explains the rules on how to win and redeem a jar for anyone who needs some clarification. We also thought it would be fun to dress up as the Easter Bunny in public and have a “practice round” for local bystanders. This brought some attention for us to spread the word during filming. Then to add that extra bit of fun, we of course transitioned the Bunny into a rap music video. This got a lot of positive feedback from their social media accounts and currently sits at 16 shares and 1.6k views on Facebook.
This video recognizes the first time that Blend Bubble Tea rented a food truck for an event. This was taken at Lafarge Lake, Coquitlam (B.C.) on Canada Day 2016. I made this video with the intention of promoting Blend in a way that sticks them up against their already established competitors. As a company that has only celebrated their 1-year anniversary, I wanted to parade how much they have already grown. Events like this gather a multitude of vendors that leave attendees with many options. Keeping that in mind, the line never stopped moving all night. This is a glimpse of how Blend brought people together and gratified their customers.
