Kirat Chungh is a newly licenced Real Estate Professional that needed a logo and business card designed for her prospective clients.
She also provided me with her brokerage logo, the city image, and her own headshot for her business cards. A personal concern arose (which I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing); when she had mentioned she wanted her headshot to look a bit more modest/professional and was hoping I could crop out her cleavage area.
With this request in mind, I came up with the alternative solution of “pulling up” her top by using Photoshop to give her a bit more comfort in that area. This way, I was able to cover the portion of the image she didn’t want showing, while still keeping the size and zoom as it was when it was first delivered to me. I’m so glad she brought this up to me as it’s a personal preference and not something I’d change unless otherwise told to do so. Subtle changes like these can make all the difference to your design and create confidence in your visual message.
Kirat loved the idea of a handwritten wordmark for her logo design. She sent me some inspiration images that had the style of being not as quickly legible but that gives off more of that personal signature feel.
I took to my tablet and provided her with many scripted variations to choose from. We narrowed it down to a couple of options and sat down in person together to refine it to her perfection. With the request of some colour, she decided to dot the “i” with a little pink heart.
